Ready to Roll! Roommate Anyone?

"Yo! Anyone here?" Rika flipped her ponytail over her shoulder as she flung open the door to her room. Her bags and boxes were already over on her side, having been shipped ahead. The other side of the room looked empty to her, though. With a shrug, she began to unpack. Given her personality and dislike of work, one would think this would be a haphazard and fast job. However, she opened each back and took things out carefully. Taking extra caution with a large collection of notebooks and binders, which she set on a shelf. Her fax came next, being set up on her desk cautiously and efficientlly.
A glass framed origami doll was pulled carefully out of a box, and hung on the wall next to her bed - the only thing that personalized her space in anyway. Though there was books, a plain black alarm clock, and clothes - which she started to hang carefully away - there was no family pictures, no statues or trinkets of any kind. Just the framed doll hanging on the wall.

Roxanne timidly turned the bronze doorknob, and poked her head in the room. She then noticed that someone was already there, and she blinked. “Err... hi”, she said, forcing a smile upon her lips. She then began to drag her over-sized silver bag into the room, having quite a lot of difficulty. Though she managed to set it down in the corner, after wiping the sweat off her forehead. “That was heavier than I thought”, she mumbled. She was beginning to wonder why it was so heavy. All she had was her text books, notebooks, bulky pencil case, dictionary... Now it made more sense.
She began to set up her things on the empty side of the room. Beginning with her heavy books. She wanted to organize them alphabetically, though she was too tired. And she just stacked them, as neatly as possible, along the shelf.

Rika turned when the door opened, watching who was obviously her roommate drag her bag over to her corner. It looked pretty heavy, so she really didn't want to offer to help. 'I'm so lazy...' She thought briefly, but still made no move to help - instead she turned to close the closet before flopping on her bed.
"HI!" She greeted, her voice loud and boisterous as always. It echoed a bit in still mostly empty dormitory room. "Guess we're gonna be roommates, eh?" She tilted her head to study the girl closely, noting her black clothes and long hair. 'Her clothes sure aren't modern...in fact, she doesn't look modern - more like she stepped out of a book from another time or something...that's kinda cool...'
"I'm Rika Johnson. Nice to meetcha!"
